Tapestry: Enabling Interactive, Remixable, Reusable, and Extensible Open Educational Modules

Developing an interactive tool for creating learner-centred, co-created, and reusable online course content, along with four modules on diversity, inclusion, and equity topics to promote more engaging and inclusive learning at UBC.

This project reimagines how online course materials are created and shared through the development of Tapestry, an innovative platform that supports interactive, remixable, and collaboratively built learning modules. Alongside the tool, the team will design four modules focused on intercultural understanding, gender and sexuality, Indigenous communities, and invisible disabilities.

Together, these resources will promote inclusive, learner-driven education and encourage new approaches to teaching and knowledge of co-creation across UBC.
